Absolutely FANTASTIC experience from the moment we first walked in the door until we left with our full bellies. I took my father figure and his partner of 37 years out on a night on the town. They are well-known foodies with impeccable taste and high expectations. Both of them were blown away by their meals. The presentation was thoughtful and visually appealing, the flavors were imaginative and striking. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and fun. This was a Saturday night outing, so the place was quite busy but we never felt overlooked or neglected, as everyone was very attentive, polite and prompt in reacting to our requests. The main ingredient that made this night memorable was the palpable atmosphere of love, acceptance and "good vibes" all around. I believe this is what makes Vice&Virtue a very special place with exciting future in the Capital Region. Come and make memories at this awesome venue! Highly recommend: 11 out of 10!

Came here on a Saturday night. I ordered one the weekend specials which was half a Smoked chicken, mashed potatoes, baked beans and a jalapeno biscuit. The chicken was nice and flavorful, definitely got the smokey flavor and wasn’t dry at all. Mashed potatoes were nice and the baked beans good but wish I knew there was bacon in them as I don’t eat bacon and had to pick it out. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Only weird thing was felt like everyone was seated in a back room which was full, but when we left the rest of the place was pretty empty. I would recommend and plan on coming back!

Had a fantastic evening here. Thought we were going to Pinhead Susan's for dinner and didn't realize that it was now Vice and Virtue and that it got a major upgrade. Great service, great food, and great drinks... Highly recommend!

We stopped in after a show at Proctors Thursday afternoon. We were very impressed with our dinner. The Thai butternut soup was very tasty and worth ordering. The bruschetta had nice flavors and delicious. We both ordered shrimp and beef tacos and enjoyed them as well. The service was attentive. They had a happy hour at the bar worth checking out. We will definitely be returning,

Beautiful and refreshing take on what fine dining in Schenectady should look like. Upscale enough to deliver the quality restaurant experience you are expecting but doesn’t take itself too seriously so you are still relaxed and comfortable. Food was excellent- quality and there was obvious thought and care put into the flavor snd presentation yet quick enough you don’t get hangry , decor was super fun and seating was spacious which is always a concern in this area. The best part is the staff. From top down everyone is very welcoming and even the manager came by and made sure our drinks were full which shows a real commitment to their level of service. Hand cut French fries too- which too me is the ultimate barometer that a chef truly cares.

Embarking on a second visit to Vice and Virtue during its first week of operations was an enchanting experience. As you cross the threshold, it becomes immediately evident that this is a realm shaped by the hands of an experienced visionary. The meticulously designed decor, complete with an impressive bar backdrop, welcoming bar stools that promise comfort and conversation, and strategically placed tables, sets the stage for a great experience. Upon entry, the friendly hosts guide you seamlessly into the heart of Vice and Virtue. Our dining experience began at the bar. The evening's libations included velvety chocolate martinis, a commendable house Cabernet Sauvignon, and a vibrant vodka and club soda with a twist of orange. The chocolate martinis stood out, vodka, chocolate liquor, Irish cream, shaved chocolate and a swirl of chocolate decorating the martini glass - a decadent find from the after-dinner cocktail selection. Although the specifics of the Cabernet eluded me, its character did not; it was a pleasure to savor, with a bouquet that was invitingly fragrant, a body that was satisfyingly robust, and a delicate balance of cherry and oak notes. Our culinary journey commenced with the half charcuterie board, an artful assembly of smoked salmon, the refined Grana Parmigiana, succulent capicola ham, whipped pub cheese, alongside classic focaccia bread and crackers. Complemented by salami and Swiss cheese, a good start to our meal. The Thai butternut squash scallop bisque, an exotic blend that married the sweetness of butternut squash with the warmth of ginger, creating a dish that was as inventive as it was comforting. The main event was shared between my wife and myself: the Royal Flush strip steak and an imaginative butternut squash risotto. The steak, served in succulent slices that had been allowed to rest to perfection, was a masterclass in seasoning and juiciness, elevated by a Vidalia onion compote. The risotto is rich with a balance of flavor from roasted shiitake mushrooms, Grana Parmigiana, candied pecans, and fried leeks. The evening was a symphony of good food, service, and great company, setting a high bar for future visits. Vice and Virtue not only lives up to its name but also its brand promise, offering a sanctuary where the culinary arts meet heartfelt hospitality and at a reasonable price. Under the stewardship of Mr. Tim Rankins and his team, one is not just a guest but a member of the Vice and Virtue family. Until next time.
